Our Story

Kathleen's of Donegal opened in Rockville Centre, NY, in 1987, by my mother, Kathleen Alcock who had a dream to start a life in New York & become a successful business woman! She made the difficult decision to leave our small countryside hometown in Mountcharles, Donegal to take a leap of faith and follow her dreams to build a better life for our family across the world. She spent decades building our business from the ground up and creating a town staple in our community. Kathleen since has retired back in Donegal, Ireland almost 40 years later, passing on the torch to us as we are still a proudly-owned family business. Over the past several decades, we have been blessed to grow in such an amazing and supportive community, that continues to share our families love and passion for Irish culture! Our passion of sharing the authenticity of Ireland is reflected through our diverse selection of imported Irish clothing, fine jewelry, Irish imported foods & gifts of all genres!
